Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Corporate Quality Department to develop, implement, and maintain quality policies and procedures
Coordinate with divisional and cross-functional teams to address quality issues and ensure compliance with established procedures
Serve as a subject matter expert and training resource for quality-related processes across departments
Present quality information and findings to customers and vendors as required
Manage, track, and respond to corrective and preventive action requests
Lead root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints and claims
Communicate and coordinate quality matters with steel mills and external partners
Support the evaluation and selection of suppliers and customers from a quality perspective
Prepare and submit First Article Inspection and PPAP documentation
Conduct internal and external quality audits
Develop, implement, and maintain standard operating procedures, work instructions, and quality system documentation
Perform process capability studies, gage R&R studies, and oversee inspection equipment calibration activities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including supervisory or leadership responsibilities
Hands‑on experience with IATF standards
Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO management systems
Lean Six Sigma certification required
Proficient in standard business software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Strong understanding of the steel industry and associated products
Experience with computerized document control systems
Working knowledge of inventory management and materials production processes
Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices
Strong background in inventory control and materials management
Proficient in quality and environmental management systems
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
