The posted range is only one component of Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP’s Total Rewards package.**-------------*The **Benefits Coordinator** provides day-to-day administrative support of the Firm’s benefits programs.
The **Benefits Coordinator** provides excellent customer service to all levels of the organization and works closely with the Senior Benefits Analyst and Human Resources Generalist to ensure consistent delivery of benefits, while practicing secure and accurate HR and Benefits administration.
The **Benefits Coordinator** collaborates with the Human Resources Operations Specialist to maintain accurate records and communication materials.**Job Functions & Responsibilities****Benefit Administration*** Provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of all benefit programs. Supports the administration of the firm’s employee benefit plans (group health, dental, vision, disability, worker’s compensation, life insurance, wellness, etc.).* Provides first level support for benefits-related inquiries from attorneys and professionals.* Serves as a secondary contact for plan vendors, brokers, and third-party administrators.* Works within the Workday HRIS to:
+ Ensure the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in Workday and data accuracy in vendor carrier sites.
+ Perform routine and regular benefits-related data audits and systems quality checks.
+ Provide support for the annual open enrollment process and any benefit enrollment changes, including qualified life change events and on-boarding/off-boarding as it relates to benefits coverage.* Maintains employee benefit files and firm-level documentation and record-keeping.* With direction, supports the standardized processes related to leave of absences, workers’ compensation, and accommodations.* Contributes to projects related to firm health and wellness committee and supports coordination of various committee initiatives.* May assist in preparation of data files required for government agencies as part of benefits compliance to a high standard of accuracy and timeliness for AQMD, SFHCO, ACA, and DOL.* Assists in educating employees regarding benefits at key points during employee lifecycle (at hire, life changing event, open enrollment, separation, etc.).* Assists in the preparation of communication tools and the intranet to promote available benefits and enhance understanding of the firm’s benefits package.* Provides coverage support to the Senior Benefits Analyst, and the Human Resources Generalist where applicable.* Assists the Human Resources Operations Specialist with HR-related tasks, including tracking and assigning incoming tasks, as approved.* May complete other duties as assigned.**Minimum Job Qualifications*** A.A. degree or higher from an accredited college or university or higher required.
Working towards the completion of either a college undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and/or relevant professional certification preferred.* Two or more years’ experience in benefits administration, preferably for a professional services organization; law firm experience is a plus.* Demonstrated understanding of ADA, COBRA, EEO, ERISA, FMLA/CFRA, HIPAA, ACA, Social Security, Workers Compensation, applicable federal and California state codes and disability programs, and other relevant regulations.* Proficiency with MS Excel and MS PowerPoint.
