Thrive Mental Health Education Coordinator
The Thrive Education Coordinator delivers engaging mental health and suicide prevention presentations to students, parents, educators, and professionals, while supporting program development, data collection, and community partnerships. This role fosters relationships with schools and organizations to promote youth and adult mental wellness.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver mental health and suicide prevention presentations and workshops to K–12 students, parents, educators, and mental health professionals on topics including resilience, bullying, and wellness.
Research and evaluate emerging mental health resources, service providers, and community data to inform content development and outreach strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with schools and community partners, actively recruiting them as program participants.
Collaborate with the Thrive Education Team to ensure effective program implementation, data collection, and service delivery.
Represent the Foundation at community and school events, fairs, and mental health education activities.
Assist with planning and executing the annual mental health conference, fundraising events, and other special projects.
Participate in ongoing training for staff and volunteer mental health educators.
Essential Skills and Experience
Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to connect positively with teens in a multicultural environment
Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with school partners, staff, donors, volunteers, and stakeholders
Minimum of one year of experience working with youth or in a mental health-related role
Experience in mental health advocacy, counseling, or support work
Public speaking, education, or training experience in small and large group settings
Empathetic and compassionate approach to supporting individuals experiencing mental health challenges
Knowledge of mental health issues, treatment options, and available resources
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Maintains confidentiality and demonstrates high ethical standards
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse contacts
Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to quickly learn new software
Dependable, flexible, and committed to meeting deadlines
Commitment to the agency’s vision, core values, and mission
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods while transporting, setting up, and distributing program materials
Comfortable traveling up to 200 miles for presentations within North Texas
Preferred Education Experience
Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field
Additional Requirements
Reliable transportation with willingness to drive distances between 25–200 miles (mileage reimbursed)

$50,000
