Position Summary In your role as a Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for software application development and administration for business operations operating at multiple Samsung sites. You'll develop skillsets in multiple programming languages, acquisition & structure of data, quality & performance analysis, customer collaboration, and continuous improvement in coordination with Samsung headquarters standardization.
Role And Responsibilities
Development of applications used for collecting data for analysis, monitoring, and process improvement on critical operations or monitoring of application performance and data integrity
Continuous improvement of user end experience and data processing efficiency
Troubleshoot user reported system issues and support user requests for improvement or identified data gaps
Find and consider external system dependencies when developing solutions
Trace and understand existing source code written by previous developers
Document development, testing, and release plans prior to implementation, as well as, review and validate peer development prior to implementation
Administer and implement system service policies to maintain security and data integrity
Manage and maintain system hardware and software
Understands implications of the system and the data it hosts to make recommendations for solutions and improvements
Continuously revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in an effort to capture detailed processes and technical structure for future reference or for daily usage
Must have an intermediate understanding of equipment/processes to collaborate with teams or individuals relevant to identified data sharing or system interfaces
Skills And Qualifications
BS or MS in Engineering discipline.
3+ years of experience in a software development and experience in object oriented programming languages.
Experience in back-end application development.
Experience working in Windows, Linux, and Unix environments.
Experience with maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting large scale enterprise systems.
Comfortable reviewing and debugging another person’s code.
Experience working with source code repositories (SVN, Git, etc.).
Web development experience is a plus but not required.
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Previous semiconductor experience, project management certification, and/or Korean language skills are a plus.
Base salary range: $70,480 - $179,090. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors including organizational and individual performance.
Total Rewards At Samsung SAS, base pay is just one part of our total compensation package. The base compensation for this role will depend on education, experience, skills, and location.
