Desktop Support Technician
TEKsystems IT Department is seeking a Field Services/ Desktop Support Technician to support end users in and around London, KY.
60% phone support, 40% desktop and network systems support.
Company vehicle provided (not for take‑home use).

Hands‑on IT Support: hardware/software troubleshooting (1‑3 years of experience required)
Experience troubleshooting user issues, including remote support – Windows 11, Outlook, O365, Exchange, Windows Server 2008/2012
Customer Service and interpersonal skills – documented in reference checks
Ability to think outside the box
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities
Receive a ticket through the ticketing system; accept and contact the end user, resolve remotely if possible, otherwise go to desk side.
Work directly with end users to provide desktop support services: troubleshoot Internet Explorer & Exchange issues, password resets, scanning/printing, LAN connectivity.
Hardware support: DELL desktops & laptops, SurfacePro3, DELL tablets.
Software support: home‑grown applications.
Server support: act as first line for London server team; provide instructions via phone.
Knowledge of permissions, install desktops when needed, deploy and support upgrades.
Qualifications Candidate will have experience with Microsoft Windows networks, workstation security, anti‑virus (McAfee), disk imaging tools, and web browsers. Ability to provide basic local troubleshooting to servers, switches, cabling and enterprise software applications.
Excellent customer service and communication skills essential. Must be a quick problem‑solver and an “out‑of‑the‑box” thinker.
Experience Level: Expert.
Job Type & Location Contract position based out of London, KY.
Pay and Benefits Pay range: $19.00–$23.00/hr.
