Overview The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiology exams on patients as requested by the referring physicians. Performs all radiology exams and procedures in accordance with RHS policy and procedures. Performs patient preparation and explanation of exams, responds to patient questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process, and completes all associated patient and equipment screening and technical documentation.
What You Will Do
Assist radiologists in performing radiologic imaging procedures. Select proper protocol to obtain optimal images and provide clinical documentation per scope of practice.
Perform with a high degree of safety and quality, preventing or reducing harms through knowledge and application of policies, procedures, protocols using safety behaviors. Responsible for preparation of equipment, instrumentation, and departmental supplies required to support quality patient care. Follow ALARA principles according to policy.
Understand and adhere to all applicable regulatory and accrediting standards. Report variances.
Coordinate patient care and perform effective assessment, actions, and documentation. Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of supplies and materials to ensure non-interruption of services.
Detail-oriented ability to multitask, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
Experience: Radiology experience (Preferred)
Licenses and Certifications
Radiologic Technologist registry: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible; must have ARRT within one year post graduation (Required)
CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire (Required)
