Flynn Panera is a franchisee of Panera Bread. It operates on a decentralized business model, with each geographic area led by a Market Leader. Reporting to the Market Leader are Area Directors, who manage multiple units and oversee overall function of the cafes. General Managers are the chief cafe managers responsible for day‑to‑day operations. Assistant Managers help run departments and support everyday management. Rounding out the team are Team Managers.

Position Description Our Panera Bread cafés are upscale, friendly cafés featuring baked breads and pastries. We serve made‑to‑order soups, salads, sandwiches, and specialty espresso beverages.

No fryers and no late nights. We specialize in artisan breads, quality soups, salads, and sandwiches—resulting in a grease‑free, alcohol‑free environment for our associates. As a manager, you will enjoy a morning shift with no late nights.

Managers supervise up to 75 staff members to ensure a top‑quality service experience for our guests.

As a Team Manager at Panera Bread, you are responsible for providing outstanding leadership to your team.

You should be passionate about the industry, inspire others, coach, counsel, create a profitable environment, and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Our managers must maintain high standards of restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality and safety, and facility management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Restaurant management combines strategic planning, shift organization and day‑to‑day management activities. At Panera Bread, restaurant management is fast paced, highly demanding and very rewarding.

Serve as a role‑model and lead the team.

Ensure that team members provide great customer service.

Take ownership for the business performance of the restaurant.

Maintain a safe, secure and healthy environment by following all safety and sanitation standards and procedures.

Run quality opening, mid and closing shifts ensuring a consistent positive customer experience.

Coordinate the entire operation of the restaurant during scheduled shifts.

Greet customers and do table visits to ensure customer satisfaction.

Recruit, train and motivate staff.

Assist the specialist within the bakery‑cafe, ensuring team members are properly trained and fully competent in all aspects of food service and customer support.

Ensure objectives are achieved while operating within all company guidelines, cultural values and following ethical business practices.

Exhibit a professional image and promote Panera Bread values and beliefs as outlined on the Premier Card.

Education and Experience

At least 1–2 years of hospitality experience.

Food Management Certifications are a plus.

Must have the "Run it Like You Own It" mentality.

Excellent organization, customer service and time management skills.

Proven track record for leadership.

Passion, energy and a positive attitude.

Work well under pressure and be able to work with a diverse group of people.

Have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
