Base pay range $18.00/hr - $21.00/hr
Bring color to Oakland, CA—on the road and behind the counter.
You’ll split your day between driving a company vehicle to deliver paint and supplies and supporting customers inside the store. As the public face of The Pittsburgh Paints Company (PPCo), you’ll answer color questions, suggest complementary products that make jobs easier, and keep service levels high—whether you’re at a contractor site or at the sales counter.
Compensation & Employment
Starting pay: $18.00–$21.00 per hour
Full-time role with benefits and weekly pay
Location: Oakland, CA
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 6:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon (rotating)
Sunday: Closed
A day in the role
Start by performing pre‑trip checks, loading your route accurately, and confirming items match customer paperwork.
Head out to construction and residential sites, contractor shops, and local businesses—deliver on time, greet customers, and uphold PPCo’s high standards.
Use vehicle technology, complete delivery documentation promptly, and keep the vehicle clean; perform post‑trip inspection upon return.
Back at the store, jump in at the counter: provide customer support, tint and mix paint, restock shelves, and help load/unload trucks while maintaining store cleanliness.
Answer color and product questions and recommend add‑on solutions to streamline customers’ projects.
Complete required safety training and wear appropriate protective gear.
Report to the Store Manager and collaborate with the team to resolve customer issues quickly.
What you bring
Age 18+ with a valid, unrestricted driver’s license in your state of residence and an acceptable driving record
Customer‑first mindset, team orientation, and a stable job history
Availability for flexible retail hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and potential overtime
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and regularly lift/carry 50 lbs; up to 80 lbs periodically
