This leader manages the Assortment Optimization process for one of the major category groups across the Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) network, driving collaboration, tool and process adoption and integration, and analysis efforts for internal partners and for our great local brands, related to both macro and micro space. This individual is responsible for a team of Assortment Analysts who run Assortment Optimization for categories within their category group that take place annually across the brands.

Responsible for supporting the funding and expense of the Single Source assortment program for their category groups, working closely with internal and external partners to hit key financial targets on an annual basis. This position will support the development of future macro and micro space tools that will be utilized by all Ahold Delhaize USA (ADUSA) brands in support of the 110,000+ in-store planograms and the Ecommerce facilities.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, Hyattsville, MD.

Essential job functions:

Lead the Assortment Optimization team for select category groups in providing detailed analysis and assortment recommendations to the category teams across ADUSA through the Assortment Optimization Tool, working in concert with the Aligned Cycle Assortment Review Calendar; provide strategic insights to business-relevant questions using the same data driven approach based on category role and desired KPIs for each assortment review.

Lead and manage the supporting processes and assets for the Assortment Optimization process: help ticket management, attribution cleaning and cataloging, Category and Analyst training, Sharepoint and Teams management, work package management.

Lead and document all meetings with Category during the Assortment Optimization Process, collaborating with the analyst team to make sure all strategic inputs were recorded and are similarly understood.

Collaborate with our external service providers (Oliver Wyman) on Assortment Tool process points, opportunities, and future enhancement requests.

Serve as a point of contact for strategic requests for analysis and support on projects falling outside of the Aligned Cycle Assortment Review Calendar.

Lead the optimization of assortment for select category groups in wareroom and Ecommerce Fulfillment Centers leveraging software that drives efficiency in Ecommerce order fulfillment.

Assist in the collection of Fair Share funding for the Single Source Program for all ADUSA Brands for their category group.

Lead and manage the delivery & implementation of relevant technical updates of systems and processes associated with space management in Brick & Mortar and E-Commerce facilities, leveraging project management best practices and considering all elements of the user experience.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis until the end of their appointment

5+ years in Retail, Business, or Technology related roles required; 3+ years related specifically to advancing technology and business systems.

3+ Years demonstrated effectiveness leading people/teams

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field

Advanced Microsoft Office usage

History of driving the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and performance.

Ability to build a strong team, engaging in a consultative and collaborative culture.

Demonstrated history of delivering on impacts and results on a wide range of responsibilities.
