About the Role We’re seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant (PRN) to join our physician practice team. In this flexible, as needed role, you’ll provide both clinical and administrative support to ensure seamless patient care and efficient daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist providers and nurses with patient assessments, treatments, and procedures.
Perform basic diagnostic tests and specimen collections.
Accurately document patient information, care provided, and any changes in condition.
Maintain and prepare exam rooms, equipment, and supplies (cleaning, restocking, troubleshooting).
Support front office duties such as scheduling, registration, data entry, and reception tasks.
Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and team members to ensure quality service and a positive patient experience.
Qualifications Education
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent (Required)
Licensure/Certification
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) (Required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – must obtain within 60 days of hire
Skills & Attributes
Strong critical thinking and organizational skills
Excellent communication and patient service abilities
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable multitasking and handling high-volume workflow
