JOB SUMMARY
Slot technicians troubleshoot and fix improperly functioning slot machines. Machines need to be kept in proper operating condition to avoid downtime, which may result in a loss of revenue for the casino.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Safeguard the confidential information of all department and company records and assets.
Monitors slot activities for adherence to company policies and various gaming regulatory requirements.
Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
Repair and maintain machines to ensure minimal downtime and proper functioning of all slot machines and other electronic gaming devices.
Respond promptly to calls on the casino floor, diagnose causes of malfunctions and failures and take immediate appropriate action.
Performs preventative maintenance on slot machines on a scheduled basis.
Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
Responsible for handling all install, relocation, conversion, and initial set-up and check out of slot machines.
Perform all other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 3-5 years of experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasional work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
