About the Facility

Adamsville Healthcare & Rehab Center is a 140-bed skilled nursing facility offering short-term rehab, long-term care, and outpatient therapy services. The facility also includes a 46-bed secure memory care unit with a state-of-the-art sensory room. Responsibilities

Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans

Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures

Observe, record, and report conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties

Maintain daily treatment records and document progress notes as directed

Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment

Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned

Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities

Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services’ regulatory and professional standards

Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences and other facility meetings

Adhere to company and facility policies and participate in quality improvement and safety programs

Perform other duties as assigned

Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently

Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines

Support the company’s mission and vision and project a professional image

Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed

Maintain expected productivity levels

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program

Active South Carolina OTA license or eligibility under state statutes

Current BLS/CPR certification

Strong observational, verbal, and written communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team
