Position Overview
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at VitalCore Health Strategies in Davidson County Downtown Detention Center, Nashville, TN. Full‑time day and night shift. Pay and Benefits
Base pay range: $33.00 / hr – $35.00 / hr (actual pay based on skills and experience). Additional benefits include a competitive wages package, annual incentive bonus and robust benefits. The LPN delivers quality nursing care within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state nurse practice act for Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurses. Responsibilities include monitoring patient status, administering medications, wound care, teaching plans, vital sign monitoring, documentation, and collaborative patient care under direction of HSA, DON, RN, Medical Director or other practitioner. Essential Functions
Utilize a systematic approach to meet individual patient health needs. Implement nursing care within the LPN’s scope of practice. Assist in developing and implementing patient teaching plans focusing on health promotion, maintenance, and restoration. Care for wounds with proper cleaning and dressing/bandaging. Administer medications to offenders. Provide care for multiple patients as directed by Medical Director, DON, or RN. Monitor vital signs and report changes to appropriate medical staff. Document all actions in the MAR and medical records. Perform other nursing duties as assigned by the facility. Minimum Requirements
Graduate of a Licensed Practical Nursing program. Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the state of employment. Active CPR certification. Knowledge of state laws and regulations governing practice. Complete initial and annual clinical competencies as required. Schedule
