Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards and practices. Duties include assessment of patients, developing plan of care, implementing the plan of care, and evaluating the plan of care. Position requires a high quality of care to meet the Hospital's core mission. Responsibilities
Assessment and Diagnosis: Collect data systematically, identify and diagnose issues, prioritize data collection based on patient condition, identify expected outcomes and plan based on diagnoses. Care Planning and Implementation: Develop individualized plan with strategies addressing diagnoses, ensure continuity of care, implement plan safely and timely, document implementation and modifications, consult with healthcare providers, make referrals, use community resources. Documentation: Submit required information and data promptly; accurately document processes, policies, and use correct terminology and required style. Outcomes and Evaluation: Develop expected outcomes, involve patient/family and other disciplines, modify outcomes as assessment changes, evaluate plan against patient responses, document evaluation results. Professional Practice: Follow RN code of ethics, maintain patient safety, advocate for patients, promote a healthy work environment, collaborate with other health professionals. Quality Improvement: Use results of quality activities to improve nursing practice, incorporate evidence-based knowledge, participate in quality improvement activities. Patient Care: Treat patients with compassion, make care decisions based on plan, monitor and document responses, maintain rapport, adapt communication style, respect confidentiality, support social, spiritual, and cultural needs, manage difficult or emotional situations. Additional Duties: Adhere to attendance guidelines, perform all responsibilities aligned with core values, complete other duties as required, maintain current knowledge, attend staff meetings, and complete mandatory in‑services and competency evaluations. Qualifications
Associate's Degree in Nursing from a state‑accredited school (Required) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from a state‑accredited school (Preferred) Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (Preferred) Registered Nurse (RN) with current Georgia license Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification or obtained within 6 months of hire Employment Details
