As a store associate, you open and close the store, prepare the floor and stock room for the business day, handle product returns, refunds, and cash drops, provide change to customers, deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, and support the team in operations, inventory, pricing, displays, and compliance.
Customer Experience
Engages customers by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
Models customer service best practices and shares Walgreens service traits with team members.
Operations
Responsible for holding store keys and opening/closing the store without management.
Assists and coaches team members on vendor ordering process and opening the backdoor for deliveries.
Registers all related sales on assigned cash register, records scanning errors, price verifications, and voids.
Assists manager on order exceptions, reverse logistics, and display evaluation.
Maintains accurate inventory counts, pricing, and displays.
Assists with bookkeeping activities including cash reports, ledgers, and bill payments.
Maintains clean, orderly store condition and appearance.
Ensures compliance with state and local regulations regarding regulated products.
Assists at pharmacy out window as requested.
Coordinates bag checks before leaving the store.
Completes special assignments and other tasks as assigned.
Training & Personal Development
Attends training and completes PPLs requested by Manager.
Communications
Serves as a liaison between management and staff by communicating assigned tasks.
Reports disciplinary issues and customer complaints to management.
Basic Qualifications
One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English. (Except in Puerto Rico)
Preferred Qualifications
Prefer the knowledge of store inventory control.
We will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.
