What You’ll Do: As a General Manager of Initiation Systems (IS) Global Products, you will be responsible and accountable for IS Products Globally and the Lifecycle management of the portfolio. You will ensure that product line strategies are aligned and executed within the Business Units, working with all levels of the sales organization, R&D, manufacturing, and engineering. This position has a strong focus on Processes, Plants for the IS Product lines Globally (Standards, MOCs, Controlled Documents and QMS) Drive IS footprint Optimizations. Other duties include:
Manage product lines globally (content and makeup) through life cycle management (product, positioning, pricing and promotion)
Develop and execute Product Line strategies, link strategies to sales and service and operations and communicating the Product plans and strategies
Accountable to lead and develop the product line to meet corporate objectives for earning
Report product line performance, support the budgeting and forecasting process
Guide Product Marketing and budgeting
Pricing development and P&L accountability
Product line analyses and marketing plans (additions, rationalizations, consolidation, modification, Industry trends, competitive trends)
Recommendations for product line improvements from field visits, sales and customer interfaces
Lead/support cross functional product business teams, providing product line leadership and stewardship.
Provide technical support and application training
Provide Product Branding Leadership
Monitor and understand customer satisfaction through daily business interactions and formal survey process.
Oversee product line content, Strategy Development
Achieving customer satisfaction, maintaining product line profitability expectations
What We’re Looking For:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in related engineering or business discipline/ equivalent work experience
10+ years’ experience in the explosives industry or explosive industry marketing and product management
Solid understanding of product characteristics, applications
Solid knowledge of Plants, Processes and Equipment used in manufacturing and delivering IS products
SAP capability, computer literacy in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to deliver quality presentations
Knowledge of markets where products are sold
Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
