Delaware North Sportservice is searching for seasonal Stand Cooks to join our team at American Family Field in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a Stand Cook, you will partake in important food preparation for guest orders and communicate with serving team members. What will you do?
Responsible for preparing food for the stand – including grilling, frying, and prepping
Responsible for following Health Code stands and HACCP
End‑of‑shift duties including cleaning back‑of‑house area and assisting stand attendants if needed
Prepare food/burgers to specifications before and during unit operations
Comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures
Ensure proper food temperatures are maintained, and food is stored correctly
Ensure freshness and quality of all menu items and packages to proper specifications
Perform opening, closing, and side‑work duties, end‑of‑day inventory, and other duties in accordance with company checklists and procedures
Keep workstation, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked
Use waste‑control guidelines and record all waste on the spoilage sheet
Follow supervisor’s assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production
Set up and operate kitchen equipment
Work cooperatively with co‑workers and management
More about you
At least 1 year of previous experience in a back‑of‑house foodservice position is preferred; previous restaurant experience on grill station is preferred
Ability to read and comprehend prep sheets, recipes, and food abbreviations
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with a high level of attention to detail
Ability to follow procedures and take directions; work as a team player
Basic math skills, with the ability to calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions
Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, days, weekends, and holidays
Must be at least 18 years old
Physical requirements
Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip a variety of foods and liquids
Ability to lift and carry large pans from ovens or freezers, weighing up to 50 pounds
Ability to handle or operate kitchen equipment
Standing and walking for the entire shift
Frequently required to reach up to 6‑7 feet, twist at the waist, bend, and squat
Pushing and pulling occasionally to move equipment, mops, and brooms
Kitchen environment – noise levels may be moderate‑to‑high
Works frequently in a hot and damp environment, exposed to variable temperatures
Able to lift 20 lbs or more
