Shape and drive enterprise-wide regulatory strategy, proactively anticipating and responding to evolving global requirements. Champion product safety and regulatory governance, positioning TTC as an industry leader in product compliance and risk management. Influence regulatory trends through advocacy at global industry associations. Create high-impact partnerships across product liability, engineering, product development, operations, EHS, sustainability, and marketing to align regulatory strategy with TTC’s long-term commercial and innovation objectives.In order to grow and build a successful career with The Toro Company, you will be responsible for:* Lead TTC compliance across global product and packaging regulations including CPSC reporting, hazardous materials transportation, EMC, robotics/wireless regulations, energy efficiency, engine emissions, restricted chemicals, and related international standards.* Provide legal strategy to TTC’s product safety governance processes, including issue identification, escalation, risk assessment and corrective action alignment.* Support TTC’s Corporate Product Safety Board and divisional safety committees, providing clear legal guidance on product safety obligations and emerging regulatory risks.* Advocate for TTC in global and North American industry associations (NAM, OPEI, AEM, PRBA), developing TTC’s positions and anticipating regulatory trends impacting TTC products
and markets.* Drive cross-functional engagement with engineering, operations, EHS, product development, and marketing teams to interpret regulatory requirements, integrate compliance, and align
strategy with business objectives.* Oversee regulatory filings, certifications, and market access submissions; direct outside counsel and technical consultants to ensure effective and cost-efficient support.* Manage regulatory budgets, workflows, and internal communication processes supporting global product compliance.To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:Preferred Qualifications:* Engineering background is preferred* Product liability experience is a plus · Expertise in trade compliance is a plus.* Strong communication, legal reasoning, and cross-functional collaboration skills.* Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience guiding teams or direct reports.* Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and provide strategic, actionable regulatory guidance.* Alignment with TTC People Values (trust, respect, integrity) and Performance Values (innovation, continuous improvement, delivering results).* J.D. from an accredited law school and admitted or eligible for admission to the Minnesota State
