DRMP is seeking a
Roadway Design Project Manager
to join our Atlanta team and drive innovative roadway solutions across Georgia. If you're a licensed PE with a passion for infrastructure and a knack for leading multidisciplinary teams, this role offers the chance to shape communities, mentor talent, and grow your career in a purpose-driven environment.
This position is eligible for a sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance.
Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include
Lead the planning, design and execution of roadway improvement projects for state, county and municipal clients across Georgia.
Oversee projects of varying complexity, ensuring high‑quality and on‑budget delivery.
Provide professional engineering design services and develop construction plans, specifications, estimates and detailed engineering calculations.
Conduct engineering investigations, feasibility analyses, and evaluate alternative design solutions.
Collaborate with clients, subconsultants and internal teams to meet project goals and deadlines.
Guide projects through all phases—from advanced planning to final design and construction support—while fostering multidisciplinary teamwork.
Direct and mentor design support staff, promoting technical growth and alignment.
Manage roadway portfolios that may include new location corridors, roadway widening, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, highway safety enhancements, intersections, interchanges and design‑build projects.
What You'll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET‑accredited university.
Georgia PE license.
10–15+ years of roadway design experience; GDOT experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of AASHTO and State DOT design standards.
Management acumen including budgeting, scheduling, job tracking, client interaction and staff management.
Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to forge strong relationships with clients, partners and team members.
A proactive, detail‑oriented mindset and commitment to team success.
