QC Inspector

who brings sharp technical judgment, regulatory expertise, and pride in craftsmanship to every inspection. This role is ideal for an experienced aviation professional who thrives in a hands‑on environment and understands that every signature, every inspection, and every decision directly impacts safety, compliance, and customer trust. What You’ll Do

As a key quality and regulatory authority within our Part 145 Repair Station, you’ll be responsible for ensuring maintenance work meets the highest FAA, OEM, and company standards. Make critical airworthiness determinations Exercise independent judgment to approve or reject maintenance, repair, and alteration work in accordance with 14 CFR Parts 43, 65, 91, and 145. Ensure all work conforms to approved technical data, ADs, Service Bulletins, ICAs, and company procedures. Perform comprehensive inspections Conduct receiving, preliminary, in‑process, hidden‑damage, and final inspections. Validate measurements, tolerances, functional checks, and test results, and direct technicians on required rework or corrective actions. Authorize return‑to‑service (RTS) Provide final RTS approvals, including completion of FAA Form 8130‑3, logbook entries, work orders, and discrepancy records. Ensure documentation meets all regulatory and Quality Control Manual (QCM) requirements. Ensure documentation and tool compliance Audit maintenance records for accuracy and completeness. Verify calibration status, traceability, and proper use of tools, test equipment, and inspection instruments. Serve as a technical and regulatory resource Support technicians and leadership by interpreting FAA regulations and OEM data. Escalate systemic issues, participate in root‑cause analysis, and recommend procedural or training improvements. Support the Quality Management System Contribute to inspection procedures, checklists, work instructions, and continuous‑improvement initiatives. Assist with internal audits, vendor evaluations, and supplier oversight. What You Bring to the Table

Required

FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certificate Inspection Authorization (IA) 5+ years of aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul experience 2+ years of inspection, quality assurance, or RTS authorization experience in a Part 145 Repair Station Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, repair station procedures, and maintenance documentation Preferred

Advanced training in Part 145 operations, auditing, quality systems, or human factors OEM or formal quality‑system training Prior lead or mentoring experience Who You Are
