Walden Security is currently offering a sign‑on bonus of $2,000 paid after 90 days of contract service. The company is recruiting experienced Court Security Officers to provide armed security to courthouses under the USMS contract.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform entrance control: Enforce the district’s entry and identification system, operating security screening equipment to detect weapons, contraband, and prohibited items.
Perform roving patrol: Patrol court facilities and grounds in accordance with applicable post orders.
Perform stationary post assignments: Stand guard at stationary posts monitoring CCTV, duress alarm systems, courtrooms, judge chambers, and jury rooms.
Perform escort duties: Provide armed escort services for judges, court personnel, jurors, and other designated individuals.
Perform garage parking and pedestrian control: Direct traffic and control lights on court facility properties as described in post orders.
Enforce law and order: Detain persons attempting unauthorized access to government property or court proceedings, and prevent acts endangering safety.
Prepare reports and records: Compile reports on labor hours, accidents, threats, and other incidents within the court area.
Court attendance: Secure unattended courtrooms, inspect prior to proceedings, test security devices, and uphold courtroom security.
Preserve order: Provide security presence in the courtroom, enforce federal law and judicial orders, enforce local court rules, and protect proceedings as required.
Requirements Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; at least three calendar years as a certified law‑enforcement officer or military equivalency within the last seven years.
Language Skills: Fluent in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, DOJ clearance, and proof of completion of a certified law‑enforcement training academy.
Other Qualifications: Minimum 21 years of age; must pass a pre‑employment drug screen and criminal background check.
Physical Demands Must meet medical standards specified by the United States Marshal Service. Physical demands are based on the contract and required to perform essential functions.
Pay Rate $47.42—$47.42 USD
