What You'll Do
The Senior Manager of the Sustainability Office will lead the sustainability initiatives within the U.S. subsidiary. This role requires strong expertise and proactive leadership in supporting global ESG compliance, addressing customer ESG requirements, and managing U.S.-based sustainability matters. The position will serve as a key liaison between the U.S. subsidiary and the Headquarters in Korea, ensuring timely and accurate communication regarding regulatory developments, customer expectations, and corporate ESG strategies.

Customer ESG Request Management
Lead the assessment and response process for ESG-related inquiries and requests from global customers. Prepare, validate, and submit ESG data, questionnaires, and reports in accordance with customer expectations and requirements. Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent, accurate, and high-quality ESG information delivery.
Responsibilities
ESG Disclosure & Regulatory Compliance Monitor, analyze, and interpret ESG disclosure requirements, sustainability regulations, and emerging policies across the U.S., Korea, and global markets. Lead ESG disclosure activities, including preparation, review, and coordination of reporting content (e.g., SB253, SB261, AB1305, GRI, TCFD, ISSB). Provide strategic guidance and recommendations to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory obligations and internal corporate standards.
Sustainability Operations Track and analyze sustainability trends across U.S. federal, state, and industry sectors. Maintain regular communication with local regulatory authorities, industry associations, and external advisors. Develop insights and recommendations regarding U.S. sustainability-related risks, opportunities, and regulatory impacts, and report them to HQ.
Global Coordination with Korean Headquarters Serve as the primary communication channel between the U.S. subsidiary and Headquarters in Korea. Ensure timely and accurate sharing of regulatory updates, customer issues, and local sustainability developments. Support the implementation of global ESG strategies and corporate sustainability initiatives by closely coordinating with cross-functional teams.
What You Bring
BA/BS with 15 years of relevant experience preferred
7-12 years of professional experience in sustainability, ESG, regulatory compliance, or related fields.
Experience working in multinational corporations or in roles involving global customer engagement.
Strong understanding of the U.S. ESG regulatory environment and emerging sustainability trends.
Proven experience in supporting or leading ESG disclosure and compliance initiatives (e.g., GRI, TCFD, ISSB, or comparable frameworks).
Ability to manage complex information, interpret regulatory requirements, and coordinate alignment among cross-functional and cross-regional stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with strong capabilities in stakeholder management and project coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in sustainability reporting projects, or regulatory compliance programs.
Strong knowledge of U.S. sustainability legislation, climate-related disclosure requirements, and industry-specific ESG expectations.
Advanced degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Public Policy, International Business, or related disciplines.
Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
