More About the Role We are a two‑doctor practice providing medical, diagnostic, and surgical care with state‑of‑the‑art tools such as digital radiology, ultrasound, and an in‑house laboratory. We seek an experienced veterinarian who shares our commitment to treating every pet as if it were our own and who can engage a diverse clientele in the greater Chicagoland area.
Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals, identifying disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment, collect samples, and interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as appropriate.
Provide counsel on end‑of‑life care for pets.
Maintain accurate patient medical records.
Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics, regulations, and internal policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD certification.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Professional and courteous presentation when interacting with staff and clients.
Physical ability to lift or assist with patients and equipment up to 25 lb, with assistance for heavier loads.
