McLaren Medical Group - McLaren Central seeks a Locum Emergency Medicine physician to provide ongoing coverage into 2026. Location: Mt. Pleasant, MI. Shift: Varied; 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. (7 days). Job Details
Unit: McLaren Central - Emergency Medicine Specialty: Emergency Medicine Type: Travel Bill Rate: $400.00 per hour (min $400.00) Open Dates/Start-End: Start 1/1/2026 – End 4/2/2026 (Duration 91 days) Number of Positions: 1 Responsibilities
Provide ongoing Locum Emergency Medicine physician coverage as described. Supervise the midlevel on duty; coordinate with 2 PRNs and 4 full-time physicians. Participate in ED operations, including airway management and codes as available; assist hospitalists with admissions and limited bridging orders. Collaborate with ED staff and support services; participate in transfer/referral processes as outlined. Qualifications
Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or Family Practice with ER experience (2+ years) – REQUIRED State Licenses: Michigan DEA – Verbal Confirmation – REQUIRED Certifications: BLS – REQUIRED; ACLS/ATLS/PALS (for non-EM boarded physicians) – REQUIRED Presentation items: Candidate home address, home or cell number, email, DOB, and other health employment requirements as listed Availability for dates listed above – REQUIRED Credentialing & Compliance
Estimated credentialing timeframe: ~90 days Expensing: Expenses covered by client; specific limits per Travel Expense policy Lodging/Third-party bookings restrictions; McLaren tax-exempt status; reverse billing via DocTime (timesheets not approved) Submission & Requirements
Board Certified in EM or FP with ER experience (2+ years) – REQUIRED Please provide: address at time of presentation, local candidate confirmation, clean background for quick credentialing, availability, DEA confirmation, state license, and other required items per policy Immunizations/Health requirements: Flu, Covid booster (or declination), TB 2-step or Quantiferon, Hep B titers/declination, MMR titers, Varicella titers, TDAP (within last 10 years) Rate: Rate cap $400/hour Certifications: Board Certified State Licenses: Michigan Notes: Interview Required = False; Winter Plan Need = No
