Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Nursing Assistant / Attendant / Orderly is responsible for administering direct resident care and performing other duties deemed necessary to insure optimal care. The Nursing Assistant / Attendant / Orderly works under the direction of a professional licensed nurse.
Qualifications MINIMAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
Graduate of Accredited High School or GED Program.
License:
Completion of a nursing attendant training program or equivalent. Must be trained in CPR.
Experience:
Experience, preferred but not required.
PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS:
Ability to think and work effectively under stress with frequent interruptions; to move, sit, stand, walk and bend intermittently throughout the work day, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Must possess sight and hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these sources to function adequately so that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
Use of mechanical and technical equipment required for the responsibilities assigned.
External and internal applicants who became disabled, must be able to perform the essential job functions either unaided or with the assistance of a reasonable accommodation to be determined on a case‑by‑case basis.
Position has a high expected exposure to blood borne pathogens.
