Job Description
Graduate Registered Nurse (GN) – Huron Valley‑Sinai Hospital (MI – Commerce Township). Full‑time, rotating shifts. All facilities, all shifts.
Responsibilities
Collaborates and cooperates with care team members to ensure consistency and quality of care.
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, coordinates patient care activities, including patient/family education and discharge planning.
Provides direct patient care, performs assessment, implements plan of care, monitors therapeutic ranges, documents and communicates patient response.
Follows physician orders, promotes patient safety, identifies quality improvement opportunities, and coordinates interdisciplinary teaching.
Collaborates with physicians, care management specialists and other health care providers in carrying out the nursing process.
Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Temporary authorization to practice as a graduate nurse under direct supervision of an RN as required by state law.
Licensed to practice as an RN in Michigan within 90 days of hire. If license not obtained, classification may change to Nurse Associate or employee may be terminated.
