POSITION OVERVIEW The Director of Lifestyle is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of guest experience programs that reflect the distinctive culture of Minneapolis and support the hotel’s brand standards. This role serves as the primary liaison between guests and the local community, ensuring that personalized itineraries, recommendations, and experiential offerings are delivered with consistency, accuracy, and exceptional service. The Director of Lifestyle will cultivate strong community relationships, maintain comprehensive knowledge of city events and venues, and ensure that all curated experiences contribute to an elevated and cohesive atmosphere throughout the property.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Guest Experience Management

Design, implement, and refine guest experience programs that enhance overall satisfaction and align with organizational objectives.

Develop customized daily itineraries and recommendations tailored to individual guest interests and needs.

Provide informed guidance on local attractions, cultural institutions, dining options, entertainment venues, and other Minneapolis‑area offerings.

Serve as an on‑property resource for guests seeking insider knowledge of the city.

Community & Partnership Engagement

Establish and maintain professional relationships with local businesses, event organizations, cultural institutions, and other community partners.

Monitor citywide developments, seasonal events, and emerging trends to ensure the hotel remains informed and proactive in its offerings.

Collaborate with community partners to secure exclusive access, preferred arrangements, or unique programming for hotel guests.

Spread awareness and act as the liaison of the hotel to target markets and groups.

Atmospheric & Brand Alignment

Contribute to the development and implementation of initiatives that enhance the hotel’s ambiance, including music selection, thematic elements, lobby activations, gallery curation, and cultural programming.

Ensure all experiential components align with brand guidelines, guest expectations, and the hotel’s strategic positioning.

Work cross‑functionally with Operations, Marketing, and Food & Beverage teams to maintain consistent guest‑facing messaging and experiences.

Communication & Representation

Provide timely and accurate information to guests through in‑person interactions, written materials, and digital channels.

Support Marketing and Communications teams by contributing insights related to local events and experiential offerings.

Gather guest feedback, track engagement metrics, and recommend program enhancements based on performance data.

All other duties as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Tourism, Marketing, Art, Communications, or a related field preferred.

Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in hospitality, guest services, events, art, tourism, or a related industry.

Demonstrated knowledge of Minneapolis neighborhoods, cultural assets, entertainment venues, and key community stakeholders.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Proven ability to cultivate partnerships and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Creative problem‑solving abilities with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and WordPress.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including service recovery and resolution.

Ability to stay calm under pressure and manage multiple concurrent demands while prioritizing responsibilities.

Approachable, authentic, and engaging demeanor, setting an example for all Associates.

Results oriented and highly motivated self‑starter.

Flexibility to work a varied schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.

Requires writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
