The largest and oldest of the USC schools, USC Dornsife functions as the academic core of the university, offering courses and advancing knowledge across the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences.The Associate Dean for Curriculum and Instruction supports the life-cycle of all courses and programs of study within Dornsife College, from inception and development, to catalogue inclusion, and assessment and review. The Associate Dean oversees the scheduling and staffing process in collaboration with Dornsife Faculty Affairs in order to build the academic schedule for all classes, and develops, maintains, and oversees a rigorous cycle of assessment and continuous improvement, working with departments on the Undergraduate Program Review process, and in the regular collation and compilation of data for the purposes of reporting out to the dean. The Associate Dean also contributes to the pedagogical life of the college by supporting innovative pedagogy, facilitating workshops, trainings and conversations with faculty regarding pedagogical best practices within the liberal arts and sciences, and by working to create a culture of pedagogical excellence, including innovation in online and hybrid programs.Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The university reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.**Preferred qualifications:**Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree. Combined experience/education as substitute for minimum educationMinimum Experience: 3 yearsPreferred Education: Master's degreePreferred Experience: 5 yearsMinimum Field of Expertise: Directly related professional and supervisory experience in area of program specializationPreferred Field of Expertise: Higher Education program management.The annual base salary range for this position is $136,129 - $152,000.
