Overview
Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) OR Experienced Veterinary Assistant – Full Time Overnight Shift | Weekend & Holidays | Mission Viejo, CA Schedule:
11:30 PM – 8:00 AM Pay:
$25 - 30/hr base + differentials +$3/hr
for all hours worked
Friday 6 PM – Monday 8 AM +$2/hr
overnight differential for hours worked

24/7 operations
and are seeking a
skilled, motivated Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our overnight team. Our overnight RVTs play a vital role in patient stabilization, critical care, and treatment support while maintaining a calm and efficient hospital environment. Key Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement (cephalic, saphenous, jugular) Administer IV, SQ, and IM medications; prepare and maintain CRIs Set up and monitor oxygen delivery systems (rebreather, non-rebreather, oxygen cages) Obtain radiographs; assist with ultrasounds and diagnostic imaging Conduct in-house laboratory testing (CBC, chemistry, urinalysis, cytology, fecal analysis) Provide advanced patient monitoring (ECG, BP, SpO₂, temperature) Assist in anesthesia induction, monitoring, and surgical prep Support and perform emergency procedures including CPR, gastric lavage, and cystocentesis Maintain accurate medical records, treatment sheets, and communication with DVMs Handle and restrain dogs, cats, and occasional exotics with safety and compassion Participate in aftercare and compassionate care services when needed Qualifications
Active California RVT license preferred. Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency, urgent care, or critical care preferred Strong technical competency and comfort with emergency triage Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-volume environment Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Why You’ll Love Working Here
