$16.00 - $21.00 per hour
Overview:
The Certified Pharmacy Technician is primarily responsible for guest satisfaction and ensuring the pharmacy operates efficiently, safely, and effectively under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
Key Responsibilities
Acknowledge, greet, and engage guests upon entrance
Build a reputation for ultimate guest service
Handle prescriptions, counting, labeling, reconstituting; inventory management and medication therapy management as permitted by state law
Maintain confidentiality of patient records
Maintain guest charge and delivery records
Mail out prescriptions
Manage phone calls to and from provider’s offices and guests within scope of practice/license
Other duties as assigned
Key Requirements
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent diploma (no more than two years of work toward completion)
Active pharmacy technician license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you practice
Maintain required continuing education and renew license per State Board requirements
Detail-oriented
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as required
Experience in retail pharmacy is a plus
Knowledge of pharmacy related law
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to perform physical aspects of the job (bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing, walking) for 8-12 hour periods
Collaboration and teamwork skills
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits, and attitude
