We are a national staffing firm currently seeking an
Aircraft Electronics Technician
for a prominent client. The position is located in
San Antonio, TX . Position Details
Compensation:
$40.17/hr
(including $4.93H&W) This is an
onsite
position with all shifts available. 12+ month contract with potential for extension or conversion based on performance and budget. Responsibilities
Apply technical knowledge to solve complex problems beyond manufacturer manuals. Perform circuit analysis, waveform calculations, and signal flow tracing using advanced test instruments. Conduct aircraft bench and flight line testing and troubleshooting per directives. Assemble, install, check, and modify wire bundles for aircraft testing and development. Ensure proper handling of tools and equipment, and consult with management to optimize work processes. Assist and train junior staff; potentially lead teams on complex tasks. Prioritize workload to meet schedules; interpret technical instructions and diagrams. Maintain safety standards; diagnose and fix malfunctions; use precision instruments. Maintain necessary certifications and permits. Physical requirements include ascending/descending ladders, working in confined spaces, and lifting loads up to 35 pounds. Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, with possible overtime. Follow Hazardous Energy and Lock Out/Tag procedures for safety. Collaborate with team members to meet cost and schedule targets. Basic Qualifications
Experience with C-17 or similar heavy aircraft platforms. Knowledge of Aircraft Avionics Systems such as Communication, Navigation, Data Links, Weapons, Radar. At least 3 years in applied mathematics, statistics, or related fields. At least 4 years working with schematics, specifications, and assembly drawings. 3+ years experience with aircraft computer systems and standard office software. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with C-17 modifications. Work with COMSEC, Radar, or Electronic Systems. Ability to operate forklifts, mobile cranes, and electric elevating equipment. If interested, please respond to this posting with your resume attached.
