Overview The College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos seeks a part‑time lecturer for the Academic Year 2025/26 to teach Business 300: Business Professional Development, a 2‑unit signature program that enhances students’ professional skills through interactive lessons on career exploration, soft‑skill development, and job‑search strategies.
This course uniquely integrates executive coaching. Executive In‑Residence (EIR) coaches work alongside instructors to facilitate student coaching and ensure timely completion of self‑reflective assignments.
Responsibilities
Develop and deliver curriculum for Business 300.
Facilitate large‑group discussions and workshops.
Collaborate with volunteer EIR coaches to support student coaching sessions.
Maintain timely and frequent communication with the coaching team.
Use technology (e.g., Zoom, Teams, Microsoft Office) to enhance learning.
Qualifications
A master’s degree in business or a related discipline.
Active industry experience in business, management, recruiting, or career development.
Demonstrated facilitation skills for large groups.
Proficiency in technology, including video conferencing and Microsoft Office.
Willingness to engage in continuous learning and development.
Compliance with the California State University Out‑of‑State Employment Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
Doctorate or equivalent advanced degree.
Professional association affiliation or consulting experience.
Prior teaching or coaching experience.
Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving a diverse campus community.
Salary
Anticipated hiring salary range: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month (Lecturer A – AY).
