Engineering Manager, Commercial Systems - Switzerland
This role is a hands‑on leadership position responsible for managing and growing high‑performing software engineering teams that support core internal business systems. You will lead multiple teams focusing on critical services such as billing, business operations systems, data governance, integrations, and security‑related software. Accountabilities
Lead and mentor multiple software engineering teams within the Commercial Systems unit
Take accountability for the design, development, and operation of internal business‑critical products and services
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver high‑impact solutions
Ensure engineering quality standards, reliability, and performance across teams
Continuously develop the skills and capabilities of direct reports, fostering a culture of technical excellence
Identify opportunities for process improvements, innovative solutions, and operational efficiency
Manage project planning, priorities, and delivery timelines to meet business objectives
Requirements
Undergraduate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
Strong track record of leading software engineering teams in a high‑performing environment
Experience with software development in languages such as Golang, Python, Java, or similar
Demonstrated ability to deliver results and exceed expectations in complex projects
Professional written and spoken English with strong presentation and communication skills
Result‑oriented mindset with personal drive to meet commitments
Ability to travel internationally up to twice a year for company events (up to two weeks per event)
Nice‑to‑have: experience in performance engineering, site reliability engineering, data governance, data engineering, or business systems such as accounting and sales operations
