This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact litigation matters within creditor’s rights in a fast-paced and professional legal environment. You will manage a substantial caseload while representing clients in court proceedings, discovery, and dispute resolution. The position provides exposure to complex legal issues, including appellate work and regulatory frameworks, while allowing you to build strong client relationships and industry credibility. You will collaborate with experienced legal professionals and contribute to the continued growth and reputation of a top-performing practice. The role combines autonomy with teamwork, emphasizing judgment, leadership, and client service excellence. This is a full-time position with remote flexibility and required travel for court appearances as needed.
Accountabilities:
Handle a high volume of creditor’s rights matters, managing cases from initiation through resolution Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and proceedings, including potential appellate matters Conduct and manage discovery, including depositions, motions, and conflict resolution efforts Provide strategic legal analysis and sound judgment to support client objectives and case outcomes Collaborate with colleagues to support litigation strategy and firm-wide best practices Build and maintain strong professional relationships to reinforce trust and long‑term client partnerships Contribute to business development efforts by supporting the firm’s growth and industry presence Ensure consistent, high-quality client communication and superior legal support Requirements:
Active membership in good standing with the Virgin Islands Bar is required Open to newly licensed attorneys as well as candidates with 5 or more years of litigation experience Demonstrated experience or strong interest in creditor’s rights litigation Familiarity with discovery practice, depositions, and dispute or conflict resolution Preferred knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code, with appellate experience considered a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead and influence effectively Knowledge of the Virgin Islands legal system and court procedures Willingness to travel for court appearances and provide occasional after‑hours coverage High ethical standards, sound judgment, and a commitment to client service excellence Benefits:
