Senior Manager, Brand Journalism & Content Strategy

Responsibilities
Lead the editorial strategy and content roadmap for the DaVita Newsroom, including platform redesign, content planning, and audience engagement Develop and implement brand journalism initiatives that support enterprise priorities and elevate DaVita’s thought leadership Provide counsel on external storytelling efforts across owned and earned channels, ensuring consistency, quality, and strategic alignment Collaborate with a team of content creators, editors, and external partners to produce high-impact stories, videos, and multimedia assets Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including Legal, Clinical, Operations, and more—to ensure content is accurate, timely, and aligned with enterprise objectives Work cross functionally to amplify key narratives and integrate storytelling across campaigns Monitor content performance and audience insights to inform strategy and optimize engagement Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field (or equivalent work experience) 7+ years of experience in editorial strategy, brand journalism, or content marketing Proven experience managing content teams and cross-functional projects Strong editorial judgment and storytelling skills across formats (written, video, multimedia) Familiarity with content management systems, SEO, and analytics tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strategic thinker with ability to translate complex topics into compelling narratives Detail-oriented with strong project management and relationship-building skills Benefits
