SPPD Digital is the department that provides digital solutions for the Strategic Procurement and Planning Division (SPPD). Our procurement and planning teams depend on technology, data, and analytics to ensure that facilities, dealers, and customers receive the parts they need to do their work. Our digital team offers solutions and business insights to enable the timely delivery of parts at locations worldwide.

This role within SPPD Digital reports to the Director of Digital Architecture and Products, and leads the design, delivery and support of sales order management digital products for Cat machines and worktools.

Job Summary This role leads a team comprising a digital products manager, digital product owners, and individual technology professionals to enable our enterprise processes for Sales Order Management. This leader collaborates with enterprise process owners and IT teams to develop and manage an ecosystem of digital products that enhances process efficiency. The technology ecosystem includes the use of technology from third‑party companies, SAP and Salesforce. The role encompasses end‑to‑end sales order management, financial accounting, production orders, supply chain coordination, logistical execution, and trade compliance, ensuring seamless integration across all business functions.

What You Will Do

Develop digital product roadmaps to deliver business results aligned with enterprise order management transformation goals to modernize processes and the technology ecosystem

Accountable for managing annual investments of $10-$15M in digital solutions

Lead of a team of 4 direct reports, which includes a manager and senior individual contributors

Develop a vision to improve process efficiency enabled by digital solutionsProvide monthly updates to senior leaders and stakeholders on digital product advancements, budget, and key process indicators (KPIs)

Partner with the Digital Customer Support Manager to ensure a robust process to support end users

Work with process owners to develop business cases for digital product investments, highlighting business value and ROI.

What Skills You Have

Strategy development & execution: Experience leading, developing, communicating, and executing digital product strategies and roadmaps

Advanced ability to build effective partnerships: Collaborating and managing partner and peer relationships to achieve business outcomes by leading through influence and direct accountability in a matrixed environment.

Advanced understanding of the software development lifecycle, including quality gate reviews to validate that deliverables are completed

Demonstrated experience leading a global team to deliver enterprise transformation programs successfully

Advanced ability to enable teams and stakeholders to make decisions and move forward with implementation.

Demonstrated experience communicating effectively to all levels of the enterprise and across functional domains

Demonstrated understanding of digital product architecture to ensure proposed solutions enable enterprise requirements and interoperability across processes and products.

Ability to think differently that empowers the team to develop innovative solutions

Active learner to understand changes in technology trends and business challenges

Top Candidates Will Also Have

Experience with ERP transformations and deployments

Experience deploying the Sales and Distribution module within the core SAP ERP platform

Experience deploying sales order management solutions to a dealer network that includes configure, price, and quote solutions built on an eCommerce platform

Experience deploying a robust quality assurance framework, including automated testing to create defect‑free digital products

Knowledge of deploying process automation tools such as Automation Anywhere, Bizagi, or Regrello

The ideal location for this role is Mossville, IL

This role requires 5 days a week in office

This position does not offer relocation or sponsorship

This position may require 10-15% travel

Summary Pay Range $172,630.00 - $258,950.00

Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
