In this Role:
You will serve as the senior on‑site retail leader for a full‑service lumber, building materials, and hardware store in Las Vegas, New Mexico, overseeing people, performance, and customer experience while driving profitable growth for the location.
The Role You Will Play: As Store Manager, you will be accountable for the overall performance of a high‑volume building materials and hardware location, including sales, margin, expenses, safety, and team development.
You will act as the face of the business in the local community, building loyalty with residential contractors, builders, and DIY customers and ensuring the store is known for great products, service, and competitive pricing.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 in‑house employees, fostering a customer‑first and safety‑focused culture.
Own store‑level P&L performance, including sales growth, margin management, and expense control to achieve revenue targets around an eight‑figure annual volume.
Ensure accurate cash handling, POS procedures, and reporting, maintaining tight control of front‑end operations and daily reconciliation.
Oversee receiving, stocking, pricing, merchandising, and product presentation across lumber, building materials, and hardware assortments.
Build strong relationships with residential contractors and builders, becoming a trusted resource for project needs and repeat business.
Support and execute promotional initiatives and local marketing efforts that drive traffic and enhance the store’s presence in the market.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant facility that meets all company, vendor, and regulatory standards.
Recruit, schedule, and manage staffing levels to meet customer demand while controlling labor costs.
