Description Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practitioner (Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) Opening –Danbury, CT SIGN ON BONUS $30,000

Nuvance Health, formerly known as Western Connecticut Health, has an excellent opportunity for a full‑time, employed Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner (NP)/Physician Assistant (PA) in Danbury, Connecticut. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with mostly outpatient coverage; no evenings, weekends, or call.

Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not‑for‑profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. The hospital has 371 beds, is a Level II Trauma Center, and serves approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. It is affiliated with several medical schools and includes a large medical group of 900+ physicians and advanced practice providers across Western Connecticut and eastern New York.

Key Responsibilities

Provide outpatient hematology/oncology care to a broad spectrum of patients in the office and hospital setting.

Collaborate with surgical and medical subspecialties, radiation oncology, palliative care, and other multidisciplinary teams.

Participate in diagnostic imaging, cancer genetics, radiation therapy, research and trials, and psychological and social support services.

Manage patient care, treatment plans, and follow‑up within the practice.

Qualifications & Requirements

Board‑certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with hematology/oncology experience.

State of Connecticut license and Federal DEA and CT Controlled Substance registration.

Minimum formal education in NP/PA training.

Compensation Salary $105,000/yr. – $150,000/yr. (Commensurate with experience)
