Overview
Job Title: Engineer Product II - Product Verification & Validation Location: Torrance, California Job Type: Engineering Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week Schedule: Onsite Pay Range: 30-40 per hour depending on benefits and skills What You’ll Do
Travel extensively (up to 90%) to agricultural test sites in Riverdale and Irvine, CA, working directly in field-based environments. Serve as the primary liaison with partner farms to coordinate all GNSS test activities and build strong relationships with farm management teams. Collaborate with engineering teams to align test operations and support validation efforts at multiple sites. Train and support farm staff on Precision Agriculture technologies, ensuring successful adoption and operation. Oversee maintenance, readiness, and repairs of agricultural equipment; manage on-site storage and upkeep of test vehicles and tools. Execute software verification and validation for GNSS receivers, including equipment setup, data logging, export, and analysis. Operate and test agricultural machinery in experimental field environments, applying your knowledge of GPS fundamentals through hands-on assignments. Work independently and as part of a team to validate receiver performance and troubleshoot hardware-related issues. What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Systems Technology, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field. 1+ years of experience operating precision agriculture equipment and working directly with farm machinery. Familiarity with system validation, verification testing, and regression testing. Strong analytical, communication, and reporting skills. Hands-on experience with equipment setup and infrastructure installation. Preferred Qualifications
In-depth knowledge of Precision Agriculture systems. Experience testing GNSS receivers and working with CAN bus communication protocols. Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware and field equipment. Benefits
