to lead our 109‑bed Skilled Nursing Facility, specializing in short‑term rehabilitation and long‑term care. Our team is passionate about improving lives — one resident at a time.

Compensation:

$120,000 – $130,000 per year

What You’ll Do

Lead and inspire the nursing team to deliver outstanding resident care

Oversee clinical operations and ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Partner with physicians, therapists, and families to achieve positive outcomes

Drive quality improvement initiatives and mentor nursing staff

Maintain 24‑hour accountability for nursing care and team performance

What We’re Looking For

Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Florida license

Proven leadership experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care

Strong understanding of clinical systems, regulatory compliance, and team management

Passion for creating a positive, resident‑centered culture

Job Summary The Director of Nursing (DON) is responsible for nursing management, sets resident standards for all direct care providers, and provides complete supervision and management of the nursing department. The role has 24‑hour responsibility, authority, and accountability for the management of nursing care for residents and the supervision of the nursing staff.

Major Duties / Critical Tasks

Assume responsibility for the development of nursing service objectives and performance standards of nursing practice for each category of nursing personnel.

Assume accountability for the organization and implementation of approved policies and procedures.

Interview, select, and hire staff both professional and non‑professional clinical staff who will plan, provide, and evaluate care of the elderly and chronically ill residents.

Evaluate the quality and productivity of the nursing workload.

Analyze and evaluate nursing staff ratio based on acuity and resident’s needs.

Interpret policy and procedure internally for nursing staff, all ancillary staff, and externally for community and regulatory agencies.

Direct, evaluate and supervise all resident care and initiate corrective action as necessary.

Plan and direct nursing staff orientation, in‑service education, and competency testing.

Assess resident care needs and assist in the development of individualized plans of resident care.

Assume responsibility for implementation of Clinical and Prospective Payment System Minimum Data Set completion schedule.

Assess resident pre‑admission and/or admission information and determine appropriate level of care.

Assume responsibility for development and implementation of nursing rehabilitation and restorative programs.

Required Education / Experience

Diploma from an accredited school of nursing

Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of practice
