Interim VP Finance – M&A
Our client, an innovative consumer packaged goods company, is seeking an experienced Interim VP Finance to lead a critical carve-out and restructuring initiative. This is a fully remote position, and the engagement has an expected duration of 3–4 months. Responsibilities
Design and execute the financial carve-out of two business units, including cash management, GL structure, revenue streams, and inventory allocation. Establish two independent operating entities with clean financials, opening balance sheets, and defensible regulatory separation. Stabilize cash flow, vendor relationships, and working capital during transition. Oversee inventory accounting and COGS allocation across manufacturing, e-commerce, and retail channels. Ensure accurate financial reporting and month-end close during restructuring. Partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to translate strategic direction into actionable steps. Requirements
Controller or VP Finance background with hands-on accounting ownership. Direct experience in carve-outs, M&A integration/divestiture, or business restructuring. Strong inventory and COGS experience (food & beverage preferred). Proficiency in QuickBooks and Excel. Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, ambiguous environments. Compensation
