Organization: New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS)**## ## **In This Role, You Will:*** **Administer chemotherapeutic and biologic agents, as well as supportive care medications as prescribed by a physician*** **Recognize and treat cancer-related and treatment-related issues.*** **Monitor and chart vital signs, document in the medication administration record*** **Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge*** **Participate in cancer research trials, administering medications per protocol*** **Provide supportive resources to patients and caregivers to promote health and wellness*** **Teach patients and caregivers families regarding treatment expectations.*** **Monitor patient status during the administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and supportive medications.*** **Chart the patient’s response to treatment and medication.*** **Educate patients and caregivers about follow up care and emergency services**## **We Require:*** **Valid New York State RN License*** **Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.*** **Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.*** **Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)*** **Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching*** **Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids*** **Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.*** **Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations throughout Suffolk county**## **What We Offer:*** **Salary: Starting at $52 per hour based on experience*** **Benefits: Health Insurance on day 1, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short- and Long- 401k Plan, Paid Time Off (PTO), 8 paid holidays (2 floating), short term disability,****Join us at NYCBS, where we are making strides in healthcare through innovative and compassionate care.
