Lab Technician role at Brewer Science, Inc. located in Rolla, MO. Brewer Science is a high-technology solutions provider for the semiconductor/microelectronics markets. We are seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill this open position.
Summary Perform basic quality control tests, data entry, and documentation, and other tasks per the instruction of the Quality Control Supervisor. Run basic lab tests or operate advanced instrumentation, troubleshoot approximately 25% of issues, process purchase orders, and ship samples to other locations.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine physical property testing (e.g., density, viscosity) of Brewer Science products, intermediate materials, and raw materials; report and document results
Alert QC supervisor and manufacturing personnel of out-of-control or out-of-spec test results
Operate and perform routine maintenance on inspection and test equipment/instruments to maintain accuracy, precision, and fitness for use and storage
Comply with clean room protocols, and perform general housekeeping tasks and clean-up procedures
Assist with key functional tests (e.g., chromatography, spectroscopy) on Brewer Science products, intermediate materials, and raw materials
Troubleshoot issues with test results and inspection equipment under supervision
Show initiative to minimize the number of unprocessed production samples
Write and revise test procedures
Maintain clear, thorough entries in lab notebooks, denoting complete procedures and data
Education & Credentials
High school diploma or GED plus experience in a lab or chemical manufacturing environment
Associate Degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
Will need to complete 49CFR training within 90 days of hire
