Job Title : Nurse Pediatric Intensive Care

Position Summary The registered nurse employs critical thinking to integrate objective data with knowledge gained from an assessment of the subjective experiences of patients in the pediatric intensive care unit. The RN applies the best available evidence and research data to diagnosis and treatment, continually evaluates quality and effectiveness of nursing practice, and seeks to optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Use critical thinking to integrate objective data and subjective patient experiences for assessment.
Apply best available evidence and research data to diagnosis and treatment processes.
Evaluate quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and optimize outcomes.
Demonstrate comprehensive clinical knowledge, technical skills, clinical judgment, interpersonal skills, and communication as required by the Comprehensive Accreditation Manual for Hospitals.
Practice within the scopes and standards set forth by the American Nurses Association.
Follow additional professional organization standards when appropriate.
Adhere to collective bargaining agreement terms represented by CNA.
Minimum Qualifications
One (1) year acute pediatric intensive care experience or completion of applicable SRDH specialty training program.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN license in the State of Nevada.
CT CPRBLS, CT CPRACLS, CT CPRPALS certifications.
Quarterly AHA Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post‑hire.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years PICU acute care experience.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
CT ONS – Oncology Nursing Certification.
