Overview

The Rose House is seeking an experienced and motivated Primary Therapist to join our small, dedicated clinical team. The Primary Therapists are the heart of our unique therapeutic program, responsible for facilitating all group and individual therapy in an intimate and nurturing environment. The role supports high quality mental health services for women in our dual diagnosis, extended care residential program focused on trauma-informed treatment. Statement of Purpose: provide direct services including individual, couple/family, group psychotherapy, consultations, assessments, diagnosis and crisis intervention. Primary therapist reports directly to the Executive Director and Clinical Lead. Conduct assessments at admission and re-assessments as required; perform mental status examinations; provide diagnoses and treatment recommendations based on client history, signs and symptoms. Insurance authorizations and concurrent reviews Treatment planning Individual therapy — maximum caseload of 8-9 Family therapy Group therapy: develop therapeutic lessons and facilitate four process-oriented/experiential groups per weekly schedule; co-facilitate four trauma paper/project presentation groups and one Gestalt group per weekly schedule Crisis intervention, behavioral contingency planning, suicide risk assessment and prevention planning Timely and thorough documentation Other responsibilities

Check and respond to emails daily; provide input to email conversations regarding client issues Read shift notes daily to stay informed across shifts and milieu Read clients’ focus sheets daily and follow up on items requiring attention Provide weekly supervision and training to clinical interns/practicum students as needed Attend staff meetings Tuesday and Wednesday; participate in case conceptualization and treatment planning; advise staff on client support Engage with family/support systems as appropriate Competencies and prerequisites

Competencies: treatment planning and lesson planning using evidence-based modalities; knowledge of mental health, substance use and trauma treatment modalities; crisis intervention; knowledge of legal standards, professional boundaries; awareness of community resources; professionalism; respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities. Prerequisite qualifications: Masters or Doctorate in social work, counseling, psychology, or social science; licensure as LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LAC or Psychologist in Colorado; minimum 3 years’ experience in private practice or treatment settings with group and trauma therapy; experience with CBT, DBT, IFS, ACT, Gestalt, MI, EMDR preferred Must have valid driver’s license; vision, hearing, manual dexterity adequate for duties; CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 90 days of employment Computer skills to document treatment in EHR within expected timeframe Benefits and compensation
