Field Service Technician/Installer
Location Ashland, VA
Duration 3 months contract (possible to extend or convert depending on performance and need)
Pay Rate $20.00 - $35.00/hr (Depending on skills and experience)
Shift 1st shift schedule (with OT and potential overnight)

Job Description Qualdoc is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to service customers in Central, VA. Responsibilities include diagnosing and fixing mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring safety compliance. Breakdowns will require troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical components and circuits.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect overhead industrial cranes and hoists to verify safety and compliance with Manufacturing, OSHA, and ANSI standards.
Troubleshoot and repair overhead material handling equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment (strong knowledge of motor controls).
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment.
Support customers by effectively interfacing with customers and the office in repairing equipment as needed.
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding required repairs.
Provide a high level of communication with both Customers and the Office.
Skills Requirements
Familiar with electrical troubleshooting, drives, gearboxes, and field welding if possible (tack).
Experience troubleshooting motors and drives.
Ability to rig and hang steel.
Ability to read blueprints.
OSHA 10/30 certified preferred.
