Neuro Progressive Care Unit Overview Our unit provides comprehensive, advanced care and treatment to minimize the effects of stroke, helping patients recover health and functioning, and regain their capabilities. Designated by the Joint Commission as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and by the State of Missouri as a Level 1 Time Critical Diagnosis Center of Excellence, we treat more than 1,200 stroke patients each year. Recognized by the American Heart Association and American Stroke Association for Gold Plus stroke standards.

Job Summary & Qualifications The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What You Will Do

Partner with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Assist with admission and discharge processes.

Partner with subject matter experts and leadership team to support improved outcomes and service.

Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.

Assist with staff scheduling assignments and patient rounding.

Manage a patient care assignment as indicated by patient care needs.

Mentor, lead, and guide new nurses.

Qualifications You Will Need

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Missouri.

Registered Nurse diploma or credential.
