Demonstrates competence in providing professional speech/language pathology services to clients/patients of all ages whose needs range from basic to complex. Plans and implements age‑appropriate, specific treatment programs for individual clients/patients with a level of skill in accordance with accepted principles and practice.
What You’ll Do
Assess patients and environment appropriately.
Plan and implement care appropriately.
Evaluate and update the appropriateness of care plan and physicians’ orders.
Communicate appropriate information to patients, peers, managers, physicians, departments, and other agencies involved.
Integrate problem‑solving methodology and quality improvement in resolving problems related to patient care and organizational processes.
Explain insurance and costs of care appropriately to patients / significant other.
Qualification Education:
Master’s degree or equivalent in field of speech/language pathology required.
Experience:
Equivalent of one (1) year in a staff speech/language pathologist position in a relevant work setting required.
Certification/Licensure:
Certificate of clinical competence from the American Speech/Language and Hearing Association required. Licensed by the Board of Speech/Language Pathology required.
Other:
Valid Driver’s License required to travel to provide home health care service and other job‑related activities. Proof of automobile insurance required. A motor vehicle background report will be conducted.
