Job Summary
Registered Nurse
– Non-MAGNET facilities. Provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Directs and leads multidisciplinary team members to deliver age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice. Provides patient/family centered care focusing on the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs. Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and responsive, respectful, accepting, and professional behavior. Responsibilities
Demonstrates the ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in a professional practice model. Participates in shared governance, adherence to standards of care, peer review, and professional development promoting leadership and clinical excellence. Applies care management principles to coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services. Identifies clinical priorities and initiates action to improve patient outcomes. Promotes a healthy work environment and accepts personal responsibility for professional growth. Qualifications
Required Minimum Training and Education:
Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or Nursing License Compact. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations:
Current South Carolina RN License or multi-state Nursing License Compact and BLS required. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required. Physical Requirements
Continuous requirements: perform job functions while standing, walking and sitting. Ability to bend at the waist, kneel, climb stairs, reach in all directions, fully use both hands and legs, possess good finger dexterity, perform repetitive motions with hands/wrists/elbows and shoulders, reach in all directions. Frequently lift, lower, push and pull and/or carry objects weighing 50 lbs unassisted, exert up to 50 lbs of force, lift from 36” to overhead 25 lbs.
