Responsibilities
Design and documentation of model and simulation requirements and architecture
Develop, verify, and validate complex models and simulations such as missile 6-degree-of-freedom (6‑DOF) and effects‑based simulations
Evaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem‑level requirements
Perform critical studies, analyses, and test activities
Support ground and flight test efforts including Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HWIL) activities
Support program reviews and technical interchange meetings with internal leadership and/or external customers
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, physics, computer engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or similar
Proficiency in C++
Proficiency in either Matlab or Python
Must be a US Citizen; requires a government security clearance and access to a facility that requires special access
Demonstrated ability to perform at least one of the following GNC or M&S assignments based on completed coursework or professional experience:
Develop and analyze algorithms such as guidance, navigation, autopilot, inertial tracking, and servo control algorithms
Develop and/or verify/validate complex vehicle models and simulations such as missile 6‑DOF simulations
Demonstrate strong math skills in linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and coordinate transformations
Desired Skills
Candidate already possesses final DoD Secret clearance
Proficiency with Python and Linux
Experience with Agile development, DevOps/DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, and software version control such as Git
Strong written/verbal communication and organizational and interpersonal skills
Security Information This position requires a government security clearance. Clearance level: Secret.
